Membership and Communications Committee

The Membership and Communications Committee was created in 1997. Formerly called the Membership Committee, it was renamed the Membership and Communications Committee in 2018. The primary role of the committee is to conduct a review of bylaws and membership categories every four years, and conduct targeted correspondence to identified Coordinating the Coordination partners. The Committee will also review the membership duties and responsibilities, and other membership-related issues as identified by the Executive Committee. The committee will conduct the next review of the bylaws and membership categories in 2025.

The Membership and Communication Committee is chair by John Wullschleger of the National Park Service .

Committee Goals

  • Review the bylaws and membership categories every 4 years
  • Review the membership duties and responsibilities annually and draft letter for ExComm approval and the Chair to send to non-participating individuals/agencies (November each year)
  • Draft letter for ExComm approval and the Chair to send to partner organizations in the Coordinating the Coordination spreadsheet (January each year)
